Stupid baseball cheaters have finally been outed for what they truely are. It is about time. I find it absolutely hilarious that the two players who would be logical picks for the best hitter and best pitcher of the past 25 years - Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens - are implicated in the whole steroid scandal. Everybody already knew Bonds was a dirty cheater (read Game of Shadows please if you haven't, it's the best), and everybody already suspected Clemens, but it being official makes it all that more juicy.
This officially makes baseball the biggest joke of all major sports, beating out cycling and track and field. I couldn't be happier.
For added effect, here is an excerpt from Bill Simmon's latest mailbag on ESPN.com:
---
Q: This is the happiest day of my life. I've been waiting for Clemens to be officially outed as a lying cheater for 10 years, and the day has finally come. How should I celebrate?
-- Marc Lerman, New York City
A: What if I came over to your apartment dressed in a Pettitte jersey, you donned a Clemens jersey, and we injected Winstrol into each other's bare rear ends? Would that work?
---Life is good.
Now I'm Scared
My sister's new boyfriend uses HGH. He says he is a bodybuilder / martial artist. This is the same guy whose house my sister stays at half the time - with my 4 month old nephew. I think I am scared. Chris Benoit? Okay, now I'm really scared.
Golden Compass
I may see this movie out of pure spite. Facebook is filled with groups opposed to this movie, because apparently, in the book that it is based off of, the protaganists kill God.
Who cares? It's a movie. Nobody got mad that hobbits existed when they saw The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
Go Pokes
I plan on watching Oklahoma State's basketball team get killed versus Pitt tomorrow. It doesn't matter whether they are good or not, all that matters is that the Cowboys don't look good this year. Wait, we beat Prairie View A&M and East Tennesee State. Never mind, we're golden.
I don't think the team is that bad, but it could be a long season. Maybe by conference play the growing pains will be sorted out and the team will heat up. Here's hoping.
